What makes the NxGEN Self-Extinguishing Candle different from traditional candles?
The NxGEN Self-Extinguishing Candle offers the beauty of a real wax candle with added control naturally built into its design. Unlike a traditional candle, it has a reusable smart base that can help extinguish the flame through voice command, timer settings, or tilt detection. The base does this by pulling the wick down into the melted wax, fully extinguishing the flame. Outside of that, it has all the same characteristics of a normal candle, making it a great option for people who love the warmth and fragrance of a real candle but want a more modern and safer way to enjoy it.
How does the self-extinguishing feature work on the NxGEN Self-Extinguishing Candle?
Our auto-extinguish candle uses a reusable base, also called the Base, that attaches to the wick. When the self-extinguishing feature activates, the Basepulls the wick below the hot wax pool to put out the flame before returning it to its original position, allowing the candle to be used again.
Can the NxGEN Self-Extinguishing Candle be turned off remotely or with voice commands?
Yes, the NxGEN Self-Extinguishing Candle can respond to a voice command. Say “Candle, Flame Out” from up to 25 feet away; the candle will activate its self-extinguishing feature. App-based remote shutoff is not currently an available feature.
What safety features are included with the NxGEN Self-Extinguishing Candle?
NxGEN candles include several built-in features designed to give you more control while they’re in use. These include voice-command extinguishing, timer settings, and a tilt sensor that can activate if the candles are ever knocked over. As with any candle, users should always burn these candles within sight, away from children and pets, and never leave them unattended.
Can I change the flame color on my NxGEN Self-Extinguishing Candle?
This feature is currently under development. When available, you will be able to choose the color flame desired, giving you a simple way to customize the look of your candle in different rooms, or to the set the mood for an occasion.
Will NxGEN candles be available in different scents, sizes, and container styles?
Yes, NxGEN currently offers candles in a variety of fragrances. We currently offer only one size and style. Future development includes plans to offer our self-extinguishing candles in 2-wick and 3-wick versions, giving customers a variety of ways to enjoy their candle and personalize their space.
Is the reusable candle base environmentally friendly compared to traditional candles?
Yes, the reusable NxGEN Base is designed to help reduce waste by allowing you to replace just the candle body refill, rather than the entire candle setup each time. NxGen candles are designed and manufactured with the highest quality materials, proven to be among the most environmentally safe on the market.
